Gen 18:25  Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?"

Gen 18:26  The LORD said, "If I find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake."

Gen 18:27  Then Abraham spoke up again: "Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes,

Luk 18:9  To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everyone else, Jesus told this parable:

Luk 18:10  "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.

Luk 18:11  The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector.

Luk 18:12  I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'

Luk 18:13  "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'

Luk 18:14  "I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted."

1Jn 5:14  This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

1Jn 5:15  And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

1Jn 5:16  If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.
